The two most popular and politically powerful religions in Nigeria are Christianity and Islam, which boast of intimidating numerical strength.
A strength so strong that it is felt in all aspects of society, politically, socially and even in sports.
This strength was recently manifested in the Super Eagles camp when Ahmed Musa, a Muslim and professional footballer, who plays as a forward for the national team, led the squad in a praise and worship session.
It is unclear where the Super Eagles were headed but many felt the impact of Musa’s act.
Twitter user, @thatmoiguy, who shared Musa’s praise session with teammates wrote:
“Once again. Religion Extremisms is a poor man thing. Just look at Ahmed musa leading praise and worship.”
