Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, hosted some notable personalities to a private screening of her movie “Lionheart” in Lagos State.

The veteran actress directorial debut was premiered for cinema viewings and had in attendance the cast of the movie.

Posting pictures from the event on her Instagram page she wrote: “Gather here for a selfie if you have been waiting for this day.”

The star-studded premiere was attended by Nnaji’s parents, television host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Peter Okoye of P-Square, Betty Irabor and Phyno in spite of the controversy over its clarification status by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN).

The Instagram page of the movie also released details of the movie dates and time at the Silverbird and Genesis cinemas in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, an American top media service provider, Netflix, bought worldwide rights to “Lionheart.”

Recall that the actress recently accused FilmOne distribution of not distributing her internationally acclaimed movie, Lionheart.

Genevieve’s representative and CEO of Life House, Ugoma Adegoke, accused FilmOne of staging sabotage of the film screening because “they have no stake in it.”

The story follows a daughter who’s forced to work with her feckless uncle in order to save her father’s ailing bus company. Nnaji plays Adaeze, a level-headed executive in her father’s bus company, Lionheart Transport.

When her father (played by Edochie) falls ill, both she and her rival (Kalu Egbui Ikeagwu) are passed over in favour of the uncle, played by Owoh.

Complications arise when they discover that the family business is in dire financial straits — leading to absurd results as they try to save the company.
