He wrote,

“A few minutes ago, after satisfying all requirements, I received the nomination form of our party @alliancefornewnigeria to officially express my interest to serve our nation in the capacity of the President.

“This is an incredibly humbling moment for me.

“As I told the Board of Trustees, this nomination form was provided by YOU.

“Your donations, prayers and kind support made this all possible.

“Many people had said expecting people to be committed enough to own this campaign was unrealistic as Nigerians don’t donate to politicians or politics. .

“You proved them wrong because you and others #JustLikeYou made this possible

“Thankfully, all I am and would ever be is a nation builder .. and soon, a nation builder holding political office ????

“The next hurdle to cross is the @alliancefornewnigeria Presidential Primaries holding on the 29th of September, 2018.

“With your prayers and continued support, we’ll have some more good news to share.

“Until then, my heart is filled with so much gratitude.

“THANK YOU for giving someone #JustLikeYou the privilege to represent you.

“Together, we will deliver a #NewNigeria ??God bless you.”

Recall that ahead of the 2019 presidential election, a coalition of political parties under the umbrella of Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) had unanimously elected Mr. Fela Durotoye as their candidate.

However, his emergence had courted controversies. Some Twitter users had alleged that the voting process was partial and has been doctored to favour Durotoye over Professor Kingsley Moghalu.

Moghalu, the presidential aspirant of the Young Progressive Party,  had also said that he is firmly in the race for President of Nigeria in 2019 despite the outcome of PACT’s election.
