Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable has left Kenya to return to Nigeria.
This came after Kenyan radio presenter, Maureen Imbai, aka Black Cinderella, lambasted him for embarrassing the country and its women.
Recall that the ‘Zazuu Zeh’ crooner had shared an ‘insensitive’ video of him rejecting a supposed hook-up proposal from a lady who approached him at an outdoor spot in Mombasa, Kenya.
Seeing as he has now made a public apology, Portable on Tuesday shared photos and videos of himself on a plane returning to Nigeria, whilst appreciating Kenyans for hosting him.
Meanwhile, confirming his departure, Black Cinderella who lambasted him earlier said in an Instagram post on Tuesday; “I want to personally thank you all Nairobi Gist Gang for standing up in Union to oppose the malicious treatment and Misbehaviour that was being displayed online painting us as if we are all in one basket of immorality.
“Kenya is a country where we live the modern lifestyle like the West. We love alcohol, enjoyment and freedom to party. Above all we love foreigners and we still maintain a cordial relationship between Nigeria and Kenya.
“To my understanding, the musician Portable has exited Kenya in the next plane that was available for him and we all wish him a long lifespan in his music career
Captioning the post, she said; “Goodmorning Africa. I am glad that The video was pulled down by the other parties involved. And a public apology offered to we Kenyans as well as the people of Nigeria.
“Musician Zazuu has Politely Exited Kenya in the next plane that was available for him. And we wish him the best but above all. Where there is war there is also reconciliation.
“We remain one Africa and we will still offer patronage in the future to any artist coming to entertain us.
“Thank you to everyone who offered apologies in the best ways they could and sincerely from there hearts.
“As for me, personally no amount of intimidation or online bullying matters to me as long as I know I stood up for a sister and I would have done the same if it was a nigerian national being harassed in Kenya.
“I don’t expect gratitude as I do what I do not only for the good of it but because I fight for Truth, justice and Reconciliation. Aluta Continua”.
