Afro nation cancels Lagos concert

The highly anticipated maiden edition of Afro Nation Nigeria, scheduled for December 19 and 20, 2023, has been canceled.

The cancellation was announced in a statement released by the event’s organizers on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

The cancellation was attributed to the organizers’ high standards and their acknowledgment that they could not currently deliver a show that meets the quality expectations of Nigeria for December 2023.

In the statement, the organizers expressed their commitment to playing a part in the Afrobeats community, providing a platform for artists to connect with fans and create events with a positive impact on global culture.

They have successfully hosted events in Portugal, Ghana, Puerto Rico, Miami, and Detroit, but they hold a special place in their hearts for Nigeria.

Despite the cancellation, they assured their fans that they are 100% committed to creating an Afro Nation show in Lagos that everyone can be proud of.

They also confirmed that they will refund all tickets, including booking fees, and ticket buyers will receive an email with information outlining the refund process.

This news came as a disappointment to Nigerian fans who were eagerly looking forward to experiencing the Afro Nation Festival.

The organizers had earlier announced headliners for the event, including Burna Boy, J Hus, Flavour, Seyi Vibez, and Black Sherif.
