Zaidu Sanusi has re-entered the fold for Nigeria’s upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire after completing a full training session on Friday evening.
Sanusi, who was sidelined due to injury during Nigeria’s victorious semi-final match against Bafana Bafana of South Africa, actively engaged in all training drills held at the Police College Cocody in Abidjan.
Conversely, Victor Osimhen and William Troost-Ekong were absent from the training session, having been given a rest. They are anticipated to join the final session scheduled for Saturday.
The Super Eagles are set to take on the hosts at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, come Sunday.
