Super Eagles’ forward, Victor Osimhen, has reportedly received medical clearance from the team’s medical staff ahead of Wednesday’s semi-final encounter against South Africa.

Recall that Osimhen did not travel with the Super Eagles from Abidjan to Bouaké on Monday evening due to abdominal discomfort.

The team’s media officer, Babafemi Raji, confirmed the situation, stating that Osimhen had been placed under close observation by the team doctors, with one medical staff member remaining in Abidjan with him.

According to The Nation, sources in Abidjan revealed that Osimhen will rejoin his teammates in Bouaké after being deemed fit and is expected to participate in the upcoming game.

Throughout the AFCON tournament in Côte d’Ivoire, the Napoli striker has played a crucial role in the Super Eagles’ impressive campaign, featuring in all five matches, scoring one goal, and providing an assist for Ademola Lookman’s goal against Cameroon.
