AFCON: Oshoala slams Tunde Ednut, VeryDarkMan over Iwobi abuse
In the aftermath of the Super Eagles’ defeat in the AFCON 2023 final, Nigerian footballer Alex Iwobi faced online criticism, leading to an outpouring of support from fellow players. Now, Asisat Oshoala, a prominent female football star, has taken a bold stand against cyberbullying, defending Iwobi and criticizing influencers Tunde Ednut and Verydarkman.
In her Instagram Stories, Oshoala did not mince words as she condemned Tunde Ednut for his disparaging comments about Iwobi. She accused Ednut of turning himself into a “god” with money from influential individuals, labeling him a “bully.”
“Tunde is an asshole !!! Boys give am money to do giveaway, he dey form god. Old fool…who d fuck do you think you are ? Ode buruku. You failed in your field n gave up but have the gut to call out someone who keeps trying n obviously doing way better than you. U for continue if na so e easy na. AGBAYA OSHI.”

As for Verydarkman, Oshoala called him names and emphasized the need to stand against cyberbullying. Her fiery response gained widespread support from fans and fellow athletes.
She drew attention to Ednut’s track record of body-shaming women and highlighted the importance of unity in the face of online abuse.
Verydarkman also responded to Oshoala “you think you are better than me😂 go back to your post,”IT IS IN YOU” read your story 😂 everybody is an hypooookra,(you claim say you dey stand up against a cause and you are using same pattern you are fighting against)🤡
iwobi is a Nigerian (my brother)above all things,i believe he will get better moving on,i wish him well and i sincerely believe in his potentials,we no win now,next time dey”
