Former Ghanaian international, Asamoah Gyan, praised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his spirited performance during Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 encounter against Cameroon on Saturday night.
Osimhen showcased exceptional skill as Nigeria secured a 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the AFCON tournament.
The Napoli forward not only contributed with an assist but also played a crucial role in securing the win with Ademola Lookman’s two goals, orchestrated by his remarkable gameplay.
In his post-match remarks on his social media account, Gyan, whose country exited the AFCON in the group stage, expressed admiration for Osimhen’s dedication, stating, “Osimhen plays with passion. That’s what every country wants their players to do.”
Looking ahead, Osimhen aims to lead Nigeria to success as they prepare to face Angola in the AFCON quarter-final scheduled for Friday.
