Adewale Ayuba congratulates new ‘Agbaakin Abobagunwa of Yorubaland’, Obesere

Fuji music veteran, Adewale Ayuba, has congratulated his colleague, Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, on receiving a chieftaincy title: Agbaakin Of Yorubaland.

The 55-year-old sent his congratulatory message via Instagram on Friday.

“Congratulations to my brother The new Agbaakin Abobagunwa of Yoruba land. May you live to achieve more in the land of the living,” he wrote.

WuzupNigeria reports that Obesere and his wife were conferred with the chieftaincy titles by the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammeed Oyelude, in Osun state.

Obesere was conferred as Agbaakin Of Yorubaland while his wife bagged the Yeyeluwa Agbaakin of Yorubaland on Wednesday.

In his remarks, Oyelude said Akande was found worthy in character and behaviour to be conferred with the title.

Oyelude urged Obesere to use his chieftaincy title for unity and advancement of Yorubaland.

In his response, Obesere thanked the monarch for the honour given him, with the conferment with a promise that he will use the position wisely.

He said he would soon release an album to celebrate his new title, saying its title will be; ‘classical honour’.
