The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards commenced in grand style on Saturday night, following a dazzling red carpet session where stylish celebrities turned heads in vibrant ensembles.
The evening’s festivities began with Adedamola Adeyemi clinching the first award of the night—Best Costume Design.
Adeyemi received the accolade for his work on the film Christmas In Lagos.
In his acceptance, the visibly delighted designer expressed gratitude to the movie’s producers for entrusting him with the creative vision.
“Thank you for giving me the chance to interpret the movie artistically,” he said.
The award was presented by elegantly dressed women, while event co-hosts IK Osakioduwa and 16-year-old David Oloke observed the moment.
Adeyemi’s win marked the beginning of the celebrations in a night featuring 20 award categories at the highly anticipated annual AMVCA.
