The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has reacted to the spate of violent protests in some parts of Nigeria against the xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals in South Africa.
WuzupNigeria reports that the violent protests, which started in Lagos on Tuesday in retaliation to the attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, are now spreading to other parts of the country as businesses linked to South Africans have announced temporary closure after they were attacked by protesters.
Also in Zambia, protesting students of the University of Zambia were seen in viral videos invading businesses believed to belong to South Africans in the capital Lusaka.

In his reaction via his verified Facebook page @PAstorEAAdeboye on Wednesday afternoon, Adeboye pleaded with Nigerians to embrace peace, saying the dividends of violence last a lifetime.
He wrote:
“Please shun Violence, its dividends lasts a lifetime. Let us all embrace peace and remember that regardless of our race, color or language, we are all of God.”
