Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has come under fire on social media following a statement she made about her husband, Bobby Maris, describing him as her “heavyweight” and affirming that she could “kill” for him.

In a post shared via Instagram on Tuesday, Ogbodo uploaded a photo of her husband alongside the caption:
“My Heavy Weight hubby. I can kill for this man.”

The post quickly drew mixed reactions, with several users criticizing the actress for what they described as double standards. One troll accused Ogbodo of hypocrisy, claiming she was defending her colleague Judy Austin amid the controversy involving Yul Edochie and his estranged wife.

The comment read:
“You will kill for him, but you are supporting Judy for taking another woman’s husband. You are all dishing out what you can’t take.”

Responding, Uche wrote:
“Una don start again o! When I start, don’t run o.”

Another social media user took the opportunity to offer unsolicited advice, cautioning the actress to pray against the kind of situation she was allegedly supporting.

“I hope you are praying against every strange woman in Judy’s form who will claim another woman’s husband is her soulmate. Your home is covered,” the commenter wrote.

To that, Uche simply replied:
“Please don’t come here with that.”

In another exchange, a troll warned the actress about blind devotion to a partner, writing:
“Men will stain your white oo. Kill for him ke?”

Uche stood her ground, responding:
“Yes, I said what I said.”

The exchanges have since sparked broader discussions online about loyalty, celebrity relationships, and the backlash public figures face when expressing personal sentiments.
