Nollywood actress Uche Montana has denied claims linking her to the alleged drug crisis involving fellow actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Montana issued a statement on her Instagram page on Monday, reacting to Nwoko’s recent Facebook post where he mentioned her name among those he accused of frustrating Regina’s reported rehabilitation process.

In the post, Nwoko alleged that Regina’s friends and relatives, including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, disobeyed doctors’ instructions by visiting Regina during therapy and bringing her drugs.

He also claimed some of them used the same substances, adding that Regina’s siblings and friends were the ones who first introduced her to the drugs.

“It is important to note that Lawrence, Sammy, his girlfriend NK, Destiny, Sonia, and others also took the same drugs as Regina. In fact, Lawrence and Sammy were the ones who first introduced and supplied these drugs to her,” Nwoko alleged.

Responding to the accusations, Montana said her name was being wrongly dragged into the controversy.

“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace,” she wrote.

Her response comes amid the growing tension surrounding Regina Daniels’ marriage.

Two weeks earlier, Regina released a viral video where she tearfully alleged that she was suffering domestic abuse and described herself as a “slave” in her husband’s house.

Nwoko later dismissed the claims, saying his wife was battling drug and alcohol addiction and accusing her of assaulting domestic workers.

Regina, in her counter-posts, accused him of hypocrisy, alleging that he was the one who introduced her to the substances and later turned against her. She also claimed he seized her phones, locked her up, and forced himself on her whenever she resisted.
