Actress Bimbo Akintola has paid tribute to the late Rachel Oniga, stating how the deceased played the role of her mum in her first two movies.

WuzupNigeria reported that her son, Olatunji, revealed that his mother died on Friday night around 10 pm after battling typhoid and malaria.

The demise of Rachael Tabuno Oniga threw the entire Nollywood industry off-balance with many still in denial.

“My first 2 jobs she played my mom and made the experience easy with her smile and her warm heart. Rachel Oniga RIP. We will miss you,” she said.

Bimbo made her movie debut with Owo Blow in 1995 alongside Rachel Oniga where they played daughter and mother respectively while Out of Bounds followed in 1997.
