Nollywood filmmaker Stanley Ontop, also known as Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, has alleged that the marriage between actress Peggy Ovire and actor Frederick Leonard was an arranged union that eventually fell apart.
On Christmas day, Ontop took to social media to comment on the couple’s relationship, describing it as a “forced marriage” and claiming that both partners exhibited violent behaviour.
He wrote, “Fred and Peggi no Dey marry again. The Marriage was a forced marraige and e don scatter since. Arrangee marraige.”
Ontop also characterized the couple as incompatible, saying, “two violent people” who could not coexist peacefully. He added, “one na public pelnise while one na violent princess.”
Highlighting Peggy’s influence on Frederick’s career, Ontop claimed she “single‑handedly made” him and helped him rise “from the gutters.”
In his post, he also offered advice to women about investing in men, referencing actress Anita Joseph as another example.
He wrote, “My advice to women! Stop making men, cox they gonna stain ur garment. No Dey feed man.”
He challenged the former couple to prove him wrong by appearing together in a film or photoshoot, implying that their separation was evident.
Ontop’s remarks follow months of public curiosity about Peggy and Frederick’s relationship.
In October 2024, Frederick faced scrutiny after failing to publicly celebrate Peggy’s birthday.
The previous December, he addressed rumours of marital issues, warning bloggers against spreading false information and asserting that marriage matters should not be discussed on social media.
Peggy Ovire and Frederick Leonard were married on November 19, 2022, in a grand ceremony held in Asaba, Delta State, attended by numerous Nollywood stars.
Since then, the couple has largely kept their private life out of the spotlight, though fans continue to monitor their social media activity closely.
