Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, has issued a public warning about online impersonators after a woman claimed she was defrauded of $5,000 by someone pretending to be him.
The 45-year-old actor shared a screenshot on his official Facebook page showing an email from the woman, who said she had been tricked in an online romance scam.
According to her, she had collected evidence—including emails, photographs, and bank transactions—and was preparing to consult with her attorney.
Ninalowo firmly denied any involvement in the incident and cautioned his followers about the growing number of impersonators using his identity to deceive unsuspecting fans.
He advised the public to be vigilant, especially those engaging in online conversations or relationships with people claiming to be him. He warned that these scams could happen to anyone.
“So after this madam realizes she has been scammed, then she does her due diligence to find the REAL Bolanle Ninalowo’s IG & Email and ever since, na so so emails of threat & accusations!” he wrote.
“I really hope you & many others who fall victim to these impersonators WAKE UP 😥 Note: if anyone on this Gods own earth is in a current or about to initiate an online relationship with any one of the many supposed ME’s, YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED or are about to! So 🏃 🏃 🏃.”
Ninalowo has previously addressed issues of identity theft and continues to urge fans to verify accounts before engaging with individuals online.
