Hollywood actor, Nicholas Cage’s fifth nuptial bliss with Japanese girlfriend, Riko Shibata has set tongues wagging. The ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ star’s marriage is coming less than two years after he tied the knot with his fourth wife, Erika Kookie, in Sin City.

Cage, 57, confirmed to journalists that “It’s true, and we are very happy,” while his media aide added that the ceremony was a “very small and intimate wedding.”

According to the Clark County Clerk’s office, the Cages applied for their marriage license a month earlier on January 10, and Ms Shibata has now taken the surname of her husband, Metro revealed.

Both actors met in Shiga, Japan, over a year ago, shortly after the dissolution of his fourth marriage.

On their special day, the beautiful bride wore a handmade Japanese Bridal Kimono that required three layers, while her groom wore a Tom Ford tuxedo.

Cage has been married four times previously; he was first married to Patricia Arquette from 1995 until 2001, before marrying Lisa Marie Presley in 2002 and divorcing two years later.

He married Alice Kim in 2004 and they welcomed son Kal-El in 2005, but they split in 2016.

In March 2019, the Leaving Las Vegas star married Erika Koike in Sin City, but filed for annulment four days later, claiming in court documents that he ‘lacked understanding of his actions in marrying [Koike] to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage’.
