Hollywood actor Neal McDonough has revealed that he lost everything in his career because he refused to kiss another woman on screen.

In a new podcast titled “Nothing Left Unsaid,” McDonough shared that he was blacklisted from Hollywood for setting a personal boundary. “I wouldn’t kiss any other woman,” he said in the preview clip obtained by TMZ. “And because of that, I lost all my work. I lost everything.”

The actor, known for his roles in Yellowstone, Desperate Housewives, and Suits, explained that the rejection nearly broke him. “I didn’t just lose my job, I lost my confidence,” he said. For two years, work offers stopped coming.

He admitted that during this time, he turned to drinking and lost his sense of identity. “It was a tailspin,” McDonough said. He credited his wife, Ruve McDonough, for helping him recover. “She stood by me and reminded me who I was.”

Neal’s career later picked up again. In May, he released a film called The Last Rodeo, where he finally appears in a kissing scene. But there’s a twist — the woman he kisses in the film is his real-life wife. “She played my wife in the movie,” he said.

On the podcast, McDonough also spoke about actor Clint Eastwood’s role in helping him move forward and how he ended up playing villains in many films over the years.

The full episode of Nothing Left Unsaid will be released Wednesday morning.
