Following the recent explosion that rattled Ibadan, Acemall management has moved swiftly to debunk any false information associating the incident with their mall.

In an Instagram post, the management clarified that the explosion did not originate from within Acemall, and the mall remains intact.

The post reads, “PLEASE DEBUNK ANY FALSE INFORMATION CIRCULATING ABOUT ACEMALL. THE EXPLOSION WASN’T FROM WITHIN OUR MALL, AND ACEMALL IS STILL STANDING TALL. OUR HEART GOES OUT TO ALL THOSE AFFECTED. STAY SAFE ❤️ ACEMALL & ACE SUPERMARKETS.”

The accompanying video, posted at 9:40 pm, visually confirmed the state of Acemall, contradicting circulating videos that purportedly showed destruction and casualties within the mall.

The mall’s management reassured the public that Ace is standing, and that no explosion occurred within the premises.

The explosion, which occurred at about 7:30 pm on Tuesday night, prompted widespread concern and reports of damages to properties in Ibadan.

Despite several residents allegedly reporting severe property damages along the Bodija axis, Acemall remains unaffected.

Meanwhile, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has urged citizens to remain calm and assured them that their interests are being prioritized.

The government has taken decisive actions to address the aftermath of the explosion, including deploying security and fire operatives to manage the situation.
