Accord Party stakeholders has affirmed the Chris Imumolen-led faction as the authentic leadership of the party, stating that it is backed by a Federal High Court order.
During a meeting held in Keffi, the stakeholders also announced the suspension of the faction led by Maxwell Mgbudem.
In a statement issued by Ambassador Kabiru Hassan, the stakeholders confirmed the suspension of Mgbudem and his deputy national chairman, alleging involvement in anti-party activities.
The group accused the suspended officials of endorsing APGA candidate Soludo, whom they claimed was working in the interest of the APC.
Accord stakeholders further alleged that Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, had shown interest in the party.
They cautioned the governor to be mindful of the suspended national chairman, advising him to “join an Accord party led by Chris Imumolen to avoid risking litigation that can destroy his ambition.”
