A lecturer at the Federal College of Education, Zaria, Kaduna State, and a prominent public commentator, Ismail Sahabi, has been released from the clutches of kidnappers.
Sahabi, along with his brother, Sidi Aliyu Sahabi, and several others, were abducted from Kasuwar Magani, a location within the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, while engaging in farming activities.
The victims, hailing from Tudun Wada, Zaria, were held captive for 31 days before their release.
A family member, who has chosen not to reveal whether a ransom was exchanged or not,stated the victims are currently undergoing medical evaluations to assess their health status.
A report on the incident last month highlighted the tragic loss of one of the victims, who the kidnappers murdered.
His body was subsequently recovered and interred in Zaria by his family.
