The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, has that since the country’s independence from colonial rule in 1960 no Nigerian President has done better than President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ngige stated this during the launch of a pro-Buhari group, Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria in Awka, Anambra State.
Represented by an aide, Mr Emmanuel Nwosu, Ngige enjoined the Igbo to support the reelection of Buhari in 2019 in their own interest.
He said,
“I have not seen a committed Nigerian as this man( Buhari). Since Nigeria’s Independence in 1960, no President of this country has performed better than Buhari”.

He commended GOGAN for its vision and mission.
Speaking, the Anambra State Coordinator of GOGAN, Johnbosco Onunkwo said Buhari was the only person that had better plans to redeem Nigeria from what he described as the bad governance of the past.
He said the 2019 presidential election was not about Buhari but about sustaining the good governance of Nigeria, which the President started in 2015.
Onunkwo said:
“The continuity of the Buhari administration is about us; it is about our future as a people, most especially our teeming youths.
“We all know that President Buhari took over the mantle of leadership of Nigeria when it was almost on a brink of collapse, evidenced in the activities of Boko Haram terrorists.
“The economy was battered by the government that Buhari succeeded to the point that payment of workers’ salaries was about to be impossible due to embezzlement.
“The Buhari government has succeeded in fighting corruption through the enforcement of Treasury Single Account which controlled government finances effectively.

He added,
“We in the South East are proud of the President for what he is doing in the region and that is why we have decided to support him. For the first time, South East is having it so good in the area of infrastructural development.
“Today in Anambra State, we have many Federal Government projects going on in the state, which include Umuerinzam-Ibaji-Kogi federal road, Otuocha -Adani road, Nnewi-Okigwe road, 2nd Niger Bridge, school feeding programme for students in government-owned schools and social intervention for the poor and vulnerable people.
“The Nigerian ship is again set to sail with Buhari in 2019. He is for all Nigerians, including the young and old. He has signed the not too young to rule bill. He accepted to run for another four years to consolidate on the work he started.
“We need him to permanently bury the vampires that have consistently been looting our nation’s treasury. It is not an easy war. It is a journey for the strong-willed. He is determined to kill corruption and hand over a new Nigeria where equality will prevail.”
