SO SAD: Three dead as two planes crash mid-air in broad daylight (photo)
Reports just coming in indicate that no fewer than three people lost their lives on Wednesday after two planes crashed in Carroll County in Georgia, USA.
According to Carroll County Fire PIO Bud Benefield, the crash happened near West Georgia Regional Airport on Regional Road.
It was gathered that the two planes, a Diamond DA20C1 and a Beech F33A, collided in mid-air.
Both are single-engine aircraft.
The crash happened at the end of runway at the airport. Debris was seen confined to just the crash scene.
Carroll County Sheriff Capt. Jeff Richards said one of the planes was a training plane.
The single runway at West Georgia Regional Airport is closed due to this mid-air collision.
