The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a strong warning to politicians, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and security operatives against attempting to rig the 2027 general elections.

Ayodele, speaking in a video, warned that anyone within the electoral process who participates in manipulating the outcome of the election would face severe consequences, extending his warning to their descendants.

“If you’re a politician, INEC official, NYSC member or security operative, and you ever take a step to rig the 2027 election, your generation after generation will be cursed,” the cleric warned.

The cleric described the 2027 general election as a critical moment for Nigeria, saying the exercise could provide an opportunity to “remodify Nigeria” and usher in significant changes.

He also expressed concern over the level of frustration among Nigerians, attributing it to what he described as “years of political failure.”

Ayodele stressed that his position was not influenced by political affiliation, noting that he did not belong to any political party. He said his comments on the forthcoming election were based on his observations and his concerns about the country’s electoral process.

The warning comes as political activities and preparations gradually build ahead of the 2027 general elections, which will determine those who will occupy various elective positions across the country for the next four years.
