Jacy Jayne has become the new WWE Women’s United States Champion after defeating Tiffany Stratton on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Jayne earned the championship opportunity last week after Stratton agreed to put her title on the line following Fatal Influence’s acceptance of a Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Stratton and Chelsea Green.
Stratton defended the Women’s United States Championship against Jayne on SmackDown, with Green positioned at ringside in support of the champion. Jayne was accompanied by Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.
As the contest entered its closing stages, Green and members of Fatal Influence became involved in a confrontation at ringside. Stratton subsequently climbed the ropes and took out both Henley and Reid before making her way back into the ring.
Jayne, however, capitalised on the opportunity and caught Stratton with the Rolling Encore.
The move proved decisive as Jayne secured the pinfall victory over Stratton, officially ending her reign and becoming the new WWE Women’s United States Champion.
