Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married. A representative for Swift confirmed the news on Friday night as the couple celebrated their wedding at a star-studded event at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The couple, who started dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in August, tied the knot in front of a reported 1,000 guests. Their longtime friend Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, and Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “Man of Honor,” while Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, stood as best man.
The bride and groom wore Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson, with their shoes custom made by Christian Louboutin. Swift also wore Cartier jewelry, according to her representative.
The guest list was a who’s who of celebrities, including football star Tom Brady, director Steven Spielberg, comedian Chris Rock, actor Hugh Grant, Jessica Alba, Ethan Hawke, Gwen Stefani, Benson Boone, Jason Sudekis, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, and Bradley Cooper. Several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and singer Stevie Nicks also attended.
Fans gathered outside Madison Square Garden for hours, hoping to catch a glimpse of the celebrity guests. As the night went on, pink lights flashed around the venue with the message “JUST&T MARRIED.” The Empire State Building also lit up blue, reportedly for “her something blue.”
The reception is expected to last through the early morning hours on Saturday. Legendary singer and Swift’s longtime friend Stevie Nicks was expected to perform with Swift at the celebration, according to reports.
Rather than resembling the sports and concert venue many people would recognize, Madison Square Garden was transformed into a “fairytale garden,” according to People Magazine editor-in-chief Charlotte Triggs.
Swift has fantasized about her wedding dress in numerous music videos, where the gown has almost always been a strapless bustier with a grand, princess-y skirt. Dior was among the labels rumored as a possible dress designer, alongside smaller American brands like Monse and Wiederhoeft, both of which are in her regular style rotation for events.
The couple’s relationship became public in the fall of 2023 when Swift began attending Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games. Since then, they have been one of the most talked-about celebrity couples, with Swift frequently spotted cheering on Kelce from the stands.
