Afrobeats superstar Davido has broken his silence on the viral paternity claim involving a teenage girl, Anu Adeleke, who publicly appealed for a DNA test.
In a video that circulated on Thursday, Anu emotionally begged the singer to agree to a DNA test to determine if he is her biological father. She detailed years of bullying in school over her family history and stated the test was necessary for her identity.
Responding on his X account hours later, Davido disclosed that five DNA tests had already been conducted, all with negative results.
“After 5 DNA test … she dey crase .. her and her mom better leave me the f**k alone and go find her papa …” the singer tweeted.
When questioned by users, Davido denied ever having a personal relationship with the girl’s mother. “Never met the b**ch … except when went For the DNA … very stupid behavior I will soon treat their FK … 5 f**king hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl ..” he added.
He explained that both parties selected the testing centres to ensure transparency: “Yes I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals .. all came out Negative .. this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.”
This controversy resurfaced nearly a year after Davido’s former lawyer, Prince Bobo Ajudua, stated in January 2025 that DNA tests at two reputable clinics—one chosen by Anu’s family—had already shown Davido was not the father. Ajudua’s comment indicated the Adeleke family, including Davido’s father Dr. Deji Adeleke, was aware of the earlier tests.
