The suspect, Chigozie Samuel, who resides in Auta Balefi, Karu LGA, was arrested by officers of the Mararaba ‘B’ Division after police received intelligence leading to the location of the stolen vehicle.

Nansel further explained that the suspects attempted to escape when they noticed the presence of police operatives, but one of them was arrested after a pursuit.

“Upon sighting the police, the occupants of the vehicle made an attempt to escape. However, one of the suspects was chased and arrested, while others escaped,” Nansel stated.

The police spokesperson revealed that the arrested suspect has confessed to his involvement in the crime, adding that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects who escaped.
