The High Command of the Nigerian Air Force has announced that multiple airstrikes carried out by the Air Component of the Joint Task Force, North East, Operation Hadin Kai, have destroyed terrorists’ operational headquarters and logistics infrastructure deep inside the Sambisa Forest.
According to the NAF, the precision strikes dealt a significant setback to the terrorists’ ability to coordinate operations and maintain their supply chains.
The Service explained that the air raids were executed after extensive intelligence gathering and surveillance, targeting critical facilities used for planning, communication, and storage of weapons and essential supplies.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said in a statement that, “The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, has achieved another major breakthrough in the ongoing counterterrorism operations with a precision Air Interdiction (AI) mission conducted on 19 November 2025 at ARRA, a notorious terrorist hideout within the Sambisa general area.”
The Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai launched the strike after a series of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions tracked terrorist movements linked to the 17 October ambush on troops at KASHOMRI.
Persistent ISR coverage over KASHOMRI and Sambisa indicated unusual activities and active terrorist structures in ARRA, leading to a deliberate, intelligence-led assault. NAF aircraft identified and hit the assigned targets through coordinated, repeated strike runs.
The strike, he noted, fully achieved its objective with the destruction of all designated targets, severely weakening the terrorists’ operational strength and disrupting their command and logistics systems.
The NAF described the operation as further evidence of its commitment to national security, continued support for ground forces, and sustained pressure on terrorist groups across all theatres.
Ejodame added that the Nigerian Air Force remains steadfast in its mission to neutralise threats, safeguard Nigeria’s territorial integrity, and secure lasting peace for the country.
