The chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, Dr Musa Aliyu (SAN), will address issues of cybersecurity and illegal financial transactions in Nigeria as the keynote speaker at Realnews Magazine’s 13th anniversary lecture in Lagos.
Maureen Chigbo, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Realnews, announced on Tuesday that the event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
The lecture carries the theme “Cybersecurity, Illicit Financial Flows and Achieving Agenda 2063 in Africa.”
In her statement, Chigbo revealed that Aliyu had committed to participating through an email sent to the publication in March 2025. He subsequently confirmed his availability in correspondence dated October 31, 2025, stating, “I will attend by God’s grace.”

Chigbo noted that Aliyu’s stewardship of the ICPC has demonstrated dedication to ethical governance, legal principles, and globally recognized standards, generating widespread respect and facilitating significant collaborative relationships throughout Nigeria.
She announced that Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips, former Chief Judge of Lagos State and past Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, will chair the lecture and facilitate the panel discussion.
