Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has firmly denied speculation that he is planning to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, declaring that he has no intention now or in the future to leave the party.

Adeleke, who currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the PDP’s National Convention Organising Committee, made the statement on Monday in Abuja following the inaugural meeting of the Accommodation Sub-Committee for the upcoming national convention.

He assured party members and the public of the PDP’s resilience, stating that the party will emerge from its internal challenges stronger and more united.

He said: “As we all know, PDP believes in proper organisation and in doing things the right way, and in accordance with the rule of law. This is exactly what we are doing. We have successfully organised many conventions in the past, and this one will be even more successful.”

“By the special grace of God, PDP will continue to grow from strength to strength. I can assure you that we are meeting and resolving our issues internally. It is a family affair. We do not want anyone outside to add sugar, pepper or salt to the matter. We are handling it ourselves. PDP is a family, and we know how to manage our affairs.’’
