Nigerian youngster Auwal Ibrahim has sealed a move to Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel after shining at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Ibrahim, who is nicknamed “Germany,” signed a three-year deal with the Red and White, the club confirmed on Wednesday. He previously featured for Nigeria Premier Football League side Akwa United before catching attention on the international stage.

The midfielder was one of the standout players at the U-20 AFCON, where Nigeria’s Flying Eagles finished third behind champions Morocco and runners-up South Africa. Ibrahim scored the winning goal in Aliyu Zubairu’s team’s 1-0 win against Tunisia and was named Man of the Match.

Currently, Ibrahim is part of the Flying Eagles squad competing at the WAFU B Championship in Ghana. Despite his young age, he is expected to play a key role for the Ligue 1 outfit in the upcoming season.

Born on January 26, 2006, Ibrahim has been praised for his versatility, creativity, and ability to control games from midfield.
