Nigerian internet personality Idris Okunneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has reaffirmed his identity as a woman in a new social media post that has stirred conversation online.
The controversial figure, known for his gender-nonconforming lifestyle, spoke about experiencing a delayed monthly period and how it was interfering with preparations for his upcoming birthday photo shoot.
Bobrisky, who previously made headlines following a legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has been vocal about undergoing surgeries to transition into a woman.
In recent weeks, he has taken steps to publicly emphasize this, including posting videos of himself in a swimsuit at the beach.
In his latest update, Bobrisky explained that he was hoping for his period to arrive before the photo shoot, expressing that he did not want the inconvenience of changing sanitary pads during the session.
He wrote, “I want my period to come before my birthday shoot. I want to be free. I can’t be changing pads on set.”
Additionally, Bobrisky used the opportunity to commend women for enduring monthly menstrual cycles. He stated that women are strong for going through such experiences regularly and urged men to treat women with greater kindness and generosity.
He cautioned men against engaging in certain discussions, insisting that some topics are exclusively for women.
To stress his point, he highlighted the word “WOMEN” in capital letters, reinforcing the intended audience for his message.
