Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face, has publicly apologised to his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, his children, and fans following backlash over his recent remarks suggesting that men are not naturally inclined to sexual monogamy.

The comment came during a podcast interview with media personality Nedu, where the singer addressed the topic of loyalty and relationships, five months after announcing his separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.

During the conversation, Nedu posed the question: “Is it possible to be loyal and be 2Face? Is it possible to be a loyal man to a woman?”

2Baba responded, “I have said this a couple of days ago, and I got into trouble for it but I didn’t care about that. Man no fits, I don’t know ooo but let me talk for my own self. I no go talk about other men.
“A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. Man can give his heart and love to one woman, but it’s impossible for a man to sexually be with one woman.”

The statement quickly drew criticism online, prompting the singer to post a video on his Instagram account in which he admitted fault and issued an emotional apology.

He said, “I know I fvcked up with what I said and I know I’m going to get cancelled because of it. I apologise to my fans and most importantly, my wife, the love of my life, Natasha and also my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am.”

2Baba’s comments have reignited debates on fidelity, responsibility, and public figures’ influence on societal norms, especially given his history and stature in the Nigerian music industry.
