Paris Saint-Germain have finally made history by winning their first UEFA Champions League title in grand style.

The French giants thrashed Inter Milan 5–0 on Saturday night at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

This victory is not only PSG’s first European crown but also a record-breaking one. The five-goal win is now the biggest margin in a Champions League final since the tournament began in 1956.

The win also sealed a historic treble for PSG, who had earlier won the French Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France this season.

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute against his former club, Inter Milan. His goal gave PSG an early lead and set the tone for the night.

Teenage star Désiré Doué became the hero of the final, scoring twice and stunning fans across the world. He is now the first teenager to score a brace in a Champions League final since Eusebio did so for Benfica in 1962.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added a fourth goal before substitute Senny Mayulu finished the job with the fifth, making it a night to remember for PSG fans.

This triumph was especially meaningful for PSG, who spent many years trying to win the Champions League by signing big stars like Neymar, Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Kylian Mbappé. Ironically, they won it the season after Mbappé left the club to join Real Madrid.

This is Luis Enrique’s second time lifting the trophy as a coach. He also won it with Barcelona in 2015.

PSG are now only the second French club to win the Champions League, after Marseille lifted the trophy in 1993.

Aside from the glory, PSG also earned a huge financial reward. Reports say the club will take home nearly €150 million from this year’s competition. This includes match winnings, broadcast money, and bonuses. They also earned an extra €10.5 million for reaching and winning the final, and €4 million for qualifying for the UEFA Super Cup, where they will face Tottenham Hotspur.

The Champions League title confirms PSG’s rise with a younger squad and sends a clear message to Europe: the new generation of players is ready to dominate.
