Angela Okorie reveals US citizenship, encourages patience among aspiring travellers

Actress and singer, Angela Okorie, has disclosed that she holds American citizenship and has never been denied a visa in her years of international travel.

In a post shared via her Instagram story, Okorie noted that although she frequently visits the United States, she has no intention of settling there permanently.

She emphasized her extensive travel experience, revealing that she has been travelling to the U.S. for over 12 years and has visited numerous countries using her Nigerian passport.

Addressing the common difficulties faced by Nigerian passport holders, Okorie shared that her consistent travel history has allowed her to avoid excessive scrutiny at international borders. She explained that over time, her travel record has helped her navigate entry procedures more smoothly.

“If I tell you I have never been rejected for a visa before, will you believe me? I love being a citizen of America, but my problem na I go gree stay. I have been going to America for over 12 years. I just like as I dey enter every country I want with my Naija passport, but this our Naija passport once Oyinbo sight am next na step aside,” she wrote.

The entertainer also offered words of encouragement to her followers, advising them to be patient with their travel ambitions. She referenced her own experiences to inspire others to remain hopeful and determined.

“If you stop me aside when you open my passport, na only you go tell me to go. Some of you just started making trips. I still get people who pass me for making trips, so calm down and take life easy. You will get there,” she added.
