The Balmoral Convention Centre at Ikeja Sheraton in Lagos came alive as the maiden edition of the Lagos Roadblock Party delivered an electrifying evening of music, entertainment, and vibrant youth culture.
The event, themed “Embrace Your Dual Nature: The Saintly And The Sinful,” was tailored for Gen Z and young fun seekers, transforming the venue into a pulsating celebration of individuality and energy.
Designed with a youthful audience in mind, the party radiated a carefree, expressive atmosphere.
Guests were treated to a dynamic lineup of live performances and standout fashion moments, as attendees showcased bold styles that added flair to the festivities.
The evening was hosted by media personalities Jimmie and Do2dtun and featured performances from an impressive roster of DJs, including DJ Tolani Baj and DJ Consequence.
Popular drink brands such as Goldberg and Desperados were actively involved in the event, engaging with attendees and enhancing the overall experience.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Desperados’ Brand Manager, Aboyowa Ikpobe, underlined the brand’s alignment with Gen Z energy and spirit. “Desperados has always been about getting loose with high energy and having a good time. It’s a brand that is very edgy for the Gen Z and younger consumers. As a brand, we have always been different. We have always challenged ourselves to do things differently. We encourage people to embrace their differences, come as they are and enjoy themselves,” Ikpobe stated.
Also speaking on the event’s impact, Mfon Bassey, the Head of Trade Marketing at Nigerian Breweries, producers of Goldberg, noted that the Lagos Roadblock Party offered a valuable platform to connect directly with consumers and deliver a memorable experience.
