Grammy-nominated artist, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has shared insights into his potential career choices had he not become a music star.

The Afrobeats icon revealed that he would have remained within the entertainment industry, likely contributing from behind the scenes.

In a conversation with content creator Darryl, Davido reflected on his academic background and interests beyond singing.

“I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space [if I wasn’t singing] but probably, more of behind the scenes,” he said.

Davido also disclosed his growing interest in the film industry, stating that he is currently investing in several projects. “I am investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming. The film space right now in Africa is going bankruptcy. So, we are definitely going to tap into that,” he revealed.

The singer didn’t stop there—he also highlighted his acting talent, referencing his own performances in music videos. “I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos. I acted in music videos like ‘Jowo’, ‘Nwa Baby’,” Davido added.

With ventures expanding beyond music, Davido continues to make his mark across multiple facets of the entertainment industry.
