Popular skitmaker, Aloma Isaac, known as Zicsaloma, has publicly criticized the Lagos University Teaching Hospital for allegedly treating his mother with unprofessionalism and lack of compassion as she battles cancer.

In an emotional video shared on Instagram, Zicsaloma described how his mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy, was denied entry into the hospital despite her critical condition. He accused hospital security and a doctor of being indifferent to her suffering.

“Our medical system is terrible,” Zicsaloma lamented. “My mom, who is at the point of death, was refused entry into LUTH. We rushed her from the Island to the hospital on Okin Road, where they told us to return to LUTH, as that’s where she had her initial chemotherapy. They warned us she might not make it if we didn’t act fast.”

The skitmaker explained that after arriving at LUTH, his mother was turned away and sent to a test center for further diagnosis. However, even after undergoing the necessary tests, she was still not allowed into the hospital.

“They locked my mom, my sister, and a friend outside the gate. The security guard said they couldn’t let her in until her test results were out, which would take three hours. They claimed only a doctor could grant access, but when a doctor finally arrived, he refused to speak to me over the phone and told my sister he wouldn’t examine my mom until the results were ready,” Zicsaloma said.

Zicsaloma expressed his disbelief at the lack of compassion shown by the hospital staff.

“We begged the doctor to at least look at her, but he walked away. My mom is a skeletal version of herself. She was left outside like that, someone who is already lifeless. Where is the humanity?”

Zicsaloma ended his video by urging the Nigerian government to investigate LUTH’s operations, calling the situation a clear example of the urgent need for reforms in the country’s healthcare system.

“The government needs to look into that hospital. This is not just about my mother—it’s about the lives of many Nigerians who may not have a voice,” he said.
