Hollywood couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have presented a unified front in their first joint social media post since the actor was criticized for his onstage chemistry with Spanish singer India Martínez at the Premio Lo Nuestro award show in Miami.

On Monday, the 53-year-old Jada joined Will and their blended family in a lighthearted photo to mark National Napping Day.

The picture, shared by Will on Instagram, showed him napping outdoors in a navy Adidas tracksuit, while Jada, their children Jaden, 26, and Willow, 24, as well as Will’s eldest son Trey, 32, from his previous marriage to Sheree Zampino, playfully posed around him.

“Someone say it was National Napping Day?” Will captioned the post.

Jada, who sported bleached blonde hair and eyebrows, pointed at her husband with her tongue out, while Willow flashed a “rock on” hand gesture, Jaden made peace signs over his eyes, and Trey jokingly gestured toward his father. Sheree also joined in, pursing her lips and looking knowingly into the camera.

The family’s show of solidarity comes after Will’s recent performance with Martínez at the Premio Lo Nuestro stirred controversy.

The duo’s flirtatious display, which seemingly ended with a kiss and saw Martínez wrapping her legs around Will backstage, sparked mixed reactions online.

One critic commented, “This is the worst,” while another added, “Inappropriate, even if it is entertainment.” However, some defended Will, with one fan stating, “Good for Will! He deserves to live life to the fullest, Jada did him dirty.”

The public scrutiny surrounding the couple’s relationship intensified after Jada revealed in 2023 that they had been separated since 2016, though they have no plans to divorce.

The revelation followed her 2020 admission of an “entanglement” with singer August Alsina, while Will later acknowledged his own extramarital affairs.

Despite their unconventional marriage, Jada previously told Daily Mail’s YOU Magazine that she and Will remain connected, stating, “After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him. Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?”

The I Am Legend star has also been vocal about his health and fitness journey, revealing in 2021 that he was in the “worst shape of his life” before committing to a healthier lifestyle.

His shirtless performance at the awards show further showcased his transformation.

Recall that in 2023 Jada told fans that she and Will had been separated for seven years and had only recently found their way back to each other.

Jada clarified that they gave their marriage another shot after he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

When Jada was talking about their separation in the press, she shared that they were still “living separately” and did not elaborate on when or if they’d be moving back in together.
