Popular Nigerian Afrobeat star Ayo Balogun widely known as Wizkid and Emoseh Khamofu, also known as Bloody Civilian, were among the artistes specially recognized by Bob Marley’s team after their win at the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, USA.
Reports stated that the Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film) soundtrack, a 10-track project, won Best Reggae Album on Sunday, February 2.
The album features covers of Bob Marley classics such as Natural Mystic, Exodus, Waiting in Vain, Three Little Birds, and One Love.
Bob Marley’s team shared a post on social media featuring pictures of the artistes who worked on One Love Deluxe, including Nigerian stars Wizkid and Bloody Civilian.
Both artists contributed full songs to the project—Wizkid with One Love and Bloody Civilian with Natural Mystic.
Bob Marley’s team also expressed gratitude to the artistes and the Grammy Awards organizers for the recognition.
