2020 UTME: JAMB reveals candidates with best scores

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has started accrediting centres for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

In a statement by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board stressed the need for centres to meet all requirements before they can participate. “This accreditation process is a critical first step in preparation for the annual examination. Only centres that meet the required standards will be allowed to participate,” the statement read.

JAMB directed new Computer-Based Test centres interested in participating to review the requirements on its website. “All new CBT centres who desire to participate in the 2025 UTME exercise are to first visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Pdfs/CBT_centre_requirements.pdf to avail themselves of the requirements for establishing a JAMB-approved CBT centre,” the board stated.

For centres accredited during the 2024 UTME without operational issues, JAMB advised them to register their interest via the Centre Management System Portal.

A key part of the accreditation process is the Autobot/Autotest assessment, which tests the technical readiness of the centres. “The Zonal and State Offices will create accounts for new centres on the CMS Portal to facilitate their registration. All centres must conduct an Autobot/Autotest on a date that will be communicated to them,” the statement said.

Only centres that pass the Autobot/Autotest will proceed to the next stage: a physical accreditation visit by JAMB officials in December. “Centres that do not achieve satisfactory results on the Autobot/Autotest will not be revisited. Centres that meet all stipulated requirements will be approved and included by the Board for the 2025 UTME,” Benjamin added.

JAMB urged centres to ensure they meet all requirements to avoid disqualification.
