Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new accusations of rape and violent threats stemming from comments a woman made suggesting his involvement in the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
In a lawsuit filed in California, Ashley Parham claims Combs raped her as “payback” for her remarks and threatened to slash her face with a knife in retaliation.
Combs has yet to respond to these specific allegations publicly but has consistently denied all claims of sexual assault.
He has also previously denied any involvement in Shakur’s 1996 murder, which remains unsolved. Last year, former gang member Duane “Keffe D” Davis was charged with Shakur’s murder.
Davis, whose trial is set for March 2025, previously claimed that Combs offered him $1 million to arrange a hit on the rapper.
In her lawsuit, Parham alleges that she came to Combs’ attention after meeting one of his friends at a bar in 2018.
The friend attempted to impress people by video-calling Combs, but Parham declined to participate, saying she believed Combs was involved in Shakur’s murder. She claims Combs overheard the remark and warned that she would “pay” for it.
Parham says she was invited to the same friend’s home a month later, and Combs unexpectedly arrived. She alleges he held a knife to her face, threatened to give her a “Glasgow smile,” and then violently raped her using a television remote control.
Parham also claims that she was gang-raped by multiple people during the incident, leaving her physically incapacitated.
According to the lawsuit, Parham managed to escape and ran to a neighbor for help as gunshots were fired in her direction.
Despite reporting the alleged assault to police, she claims no action was taken. She is now suing Combs and six other individuals for sexual assault, battery, false imprisonment, and kidnapping and is demanding a trial by jury.
This case is the latest in a string of legal battles for Combs, who has faced more than a dozen accusations of rape, sexual assault, and abuse over the past year.
On Monday, six additional lawsuits were filed in New York, including one alleging that Combs molested a 16-year-old boy at a party.
Combs’ legal team has strongly denied all allegations, describing the lawsuits as part of a “money grab” and accusing accusers of seeking publicity.
His lawyers maintain that he has never sexually assaulted anyone and have expressed concerns that the growing number of anonymous accusations are damaging his reputation and hindering his ability to receive a fair trial.
Currently, Combs is being held in New York on federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.
His trial is tentatively scheduled for May 2025. His lawyers have requested bail, citing poor conditions at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, but prosecutors argue that Combs poses a risk of witness intimidation.
Despite his legal troubles, Combs remains a prominent figure in the music industry. He is known for hits like I’ll Be Missing You and his work with Notorious B.I.G.
On Tuesday, he posted on Instagram from jail to wish his daughter a happy birthday.
