Davido pledges N300m donation to orphanages across Nigeria

Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a generous pledge of N300 million to various orphanages across Nigeria.

The artist shared this commitment through his social media accounts on Tuesday, February 20, expressing his dedication to an annual tradition he started a few years ago.

Davido, known for his philanthropic efforts, emphasized that despite the current challenges faced by Nigerians due to the rise in food and petrol prices, he remains committed to contributing to the nation. The donation, totaling N300 million, will be facilitated through The David Adeleke Foundation.

Last year, the musician disbursed N237 million to several orphanages and In October 2022, he donated N250 million to 292 orphanages.

Last year Davido also gave two million to a Tiktoker who shared her video on a day in her life.

Davido expressed his intentions, stating, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria… as my yearly contribution to the nation. Details of disbursement tomorrow.”
