King Charles III has left the private London Clinic accompanied by the Queen, after receiving treatment for an enlarged prostate amidst smiles and waves to well-wishers,

According to Sky News, a palace official stated “Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the King will reschedule forthcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recuperation,” indicating a temporary adjustment in the royal schedule.

Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support, the monarch conveyed appreciation for the kind messages received during his hospitalization. “Thank you to all those who have sent their good wishes during The King’s hospital stay,” read a statement from the palace.

The 75-year-old sovereign, accompanied by Camilla, was admitted to the hospital on Friday morning, the same facility where the Princess of Wales had undergone abdominal surgery. The Princess, who returned home to Windsor for recovery, received a visit from the King before his own treatment commenced.

Upon leaving the hospital, Queen Elizabeth II reassured reporters that her husband was “doing well,” having visited him multiple times during his hospital stay.

The King’s journey to the hospital followed a diagnosis of the benign condition on January 17th, prompting him to share details of his experience in hopes of raising awareness about men’s health. His decision resulted in a significant uptick in visits to the NHS website’s “enlarged prostate” page, reflecting heightened public interest in the matter.

In response to his diagnosis, NHS England noted a surge in visits to the page, with one visit occurring every five seconds on the day the news broke, indicating a notable impact on public health awareness.
