I worship Juju, says Seun Kuti
Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti, the son of the late legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, shared insights into his religious beliefs, expressing his inclination towards traditional African spirituality.
The disclosure was made during an interview with former ‘Big Brother Naija’ housemate Phyna.
Seun Kuti began by tracing his family’s history with Christianity, stating, “Na my family istart the Anglican side of Christianity for this country. If we look back at it, we there part of the pioneers. So we been there, we’ve done that and we’ve moved on. And we hope Africans can follow suit.”
When asked about his current religious stance, Seun Kuti candidly declared, “na juju me I dey do.”
Seun Kuti’s choice to embrace indigenous spiritual beliefs aligns with a growing trend among individuals seeking a connection to their African roots.
