Senate donates N109m December salaries to Kaduna airstrike victims

The leadership of the 10th Senate has extended a helping hand to the victims of the mistaken army air strike in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, announced the substantial donation of 109 million naira during a condolence visit to Governor Uba Sani at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House on Sunday.

Senator Barau Jibrin conveyed the Senate’s sympathy and support to the Kaduna State government and the affected Tudun Biri community.

He stated that the National Assembly will work in partnership with the Presidency to unravel the circumstances surrounding the accidental bombing of innocent civilians at Tudun Biri village to avert a recurrence.

Jibrin disclosed that the donation, which is for the welfare of the victims, their December salaries.

The governor, expressing gratitude for the Senate’s compassionate gesture, called on the National Assembly to collaborate with the Federal Government in investigating the bomb incident.

Additionally, he urged federal legislators to review the ongoing discussions about the creation of state police, emphasizing its potential to enhance security management in the country.
