Super Eagles midfielder Kelechi Nwakali was named Man of the Match following his outstanding performance in Chaves’ 2-1 win over FC Vizela on Friday night.
Nwakali was a constant threat in midfield for Chaves, making three key passes, completing two take-ons, winning one foul, and completing 86.1% of his passes.
He was also the joint-best rated player in the match, with a rating of 7.
The 24-year-old has been in good form for Chaves recently, and his performance against FC Vizela was one of his best of the season.
He has now made twelve appearances for Chaves in the Portuguese Primeira Liga this season, registering two assists.
Nwakali’s performance was praised by Portuguese sports daily A Bola, which said that he was “the true lungs of the team” and that he “demonstrated that he has the ability to give and sell.”
The win over FC Vizela was Chaves’ third of the season, and it moved them up to 12th place in the table.
