Police launch manhunt for killers of Imo monarch

The Imo State Police Command has announced the establishment of a high-powered investigating team to track down the killers of the traditional ruler of Otulu Amumara in Ezinihitte Mbaise Council Area of Imo State, Eze Joe-Benz Ochulor.

The monarch was abducted by unidentified gunmen on Saturday, and regrettably, his lifeless body was discovered on Sunday.

Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, conveyed the strong determination of the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, to ensure that those responsible for the crime face the full consequences of the law.

Okoye shared with newsmen in Owerri on Monday, saying, “The CP vowed that the Command would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.”

The Commissioner of Police has taken decisive action by setting up a high-powered investigating team, instructing them to pursue the assailants vigorously.

Okoye emphasized the Commissioner’s call for the general public to remain calm and collaborate with the police by providing any useful information that may aid in the swift apprehension of the suspects.

“The CP calls on the general public to remain calm and cooperate with the Police by providing useful information that may assist in the apprehension of the suspects,” Okoye stated.
